Epson Powerlite Pro Cinema 1080

In an effort to fully utilize the highest capacity signal of 1080p, Epson has designed and is about to release it latest Home Theatre Projector. The Powerlite Pro Cinema 1080 has a native resolution that puts other to shame. It has more than 1080 lines of resolution both vertically and horizontally with 1920x1080 native resolution.

Epson has incorporated its own technologies to ensure the highest quality components are being used in their machines and to stay on top of the projector game. The Pro Cinema 1080 is able to produce its clear picture thanks to Epson’s C2 Fine LCD chip. Epson uses 3 LCD Chips in conjunction to project an image so clear that it will look like real life.

If you are looking for flaws in this projector, don’t even think about attacking its contrast ratio. With a 12000:1 ratio you will be experiencing blacks that create more depth than a book written by the Deepak Chopra. Epson has designed an exceptional new AccuLense that beams light and images from the very edges of the screen without distortion, allowing for even closer image reproduction.

The consumer will have to ask themselves whether it is right for them to purchase a projector that is so vivid that most HDTV channels and DVD’s can’t keep up. I know that when I watch TV on regular HD channels I can still decipher the imperfections due to a lower quality feed. It may take a while for distribution companies and producers to start purchasing more new equipment that can provide a high definition signal good enough for the Pro Cinema 1080.

With this being said, in order to be relevant does the 1080 have the capability to make regular signal feeds look better than they really are? Does it have a compression technology that still makes it useful for viewing TV and Movies that are low in resolution? With the speed of technology today, systems will need to be able to handle older and newer applications in order to keep relevant.
